Cindy McPhearson is a girl who originally appeared as a recurring character in the Comic strip. She eventually made her debut in season 2 of the TV series.

Comic Strip

Cindy is a girl in Huey's class who is oblivious to racial issues. She enjoys rap music, especially Snoop Dogg, Jay-Z and Nas. it's a very open to ideas that can easily get her in trouble, and always has one reason or another to start a problem with people.

TV Series

Cindy McPhearson appears as an extremely talented junior basketball player for her team, is well-versed (yet overblown) in AAVE, and is just as cocky as Riley. Riley soon resorts to insulting her mother and the problems related to her in Cindy's life to put her off her game, which leads to her crying and running off the court. Cindy also appears in the episode "Ballin" and "The Story of Gangstalicious Part 2", in Season 2 and in Season 3 and in the episode "The Red Ball" as part of the kickball team lead by Huey, even though in that episode she doesn't speak. In "The Fun-Raiser", she plays a relatively major role in helping Riley with his Young Reezy's chocolate-selling hustle.

Personality

Described by Riley as " having less compassion than the average female", Cindy never has a problem with showing other people what she can do, and even has the guts to do it on some occasions. Although known as a brutal, mindless girl, Cindy is very knowledgeable of the streets, and what happens around them (mostly because she spends almost all her time there). She was shown slapping the shit out of anyone who sells cookies on her street. In The Fun-Raiser, Cindy is shown to be a good friend of Riley Freeman, who helps him out in his fund-raiser (Young Reezy's Fundraiser), and was the last person who was still working for Riley, even after he decided to quit the candy business. The same episode reveals her tough-girl personality is a facade, as she completely panicked during a gunfight and shouted "I WANNA GO HOME!".

Relationships

Riley Freeman

Cindy and Riley started off as rivals on a basketball competition, where she was seen taunting him at several points in the game. Later episodes show her having much more common ground with him (Cindy can be seen as a female counterpart to Riley), Grandad once invited her over to hang out with Riley and was visibly disappointed, proclaiming "You cold as ice Reezy". Their relationship is best displayed in SeThe Fun Raiser, where she not only supports Riley's scheme, but stays by his side when the entire situation takes a downturn.
